About the opportunity:
New Era Technology is seeking a Principal Microsoft Consultant to join our growing team full-time. Deliver innovative solutions to our fortune 500 clients. Provide strategic, tactical projects focusing Microsoft technologies across multiple industries and multiple countries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform assessments, health checks and provide recommendations that align with security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, Cyber Security Essentials, MITRE ATT&CK, and other leading practices. Create project plans and proposals to deliver remediation and optimizations.
  • Design and plan projects including conducting scoping calls with the clients to determine requirements, scope of the project and level of effort.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to our clients by leading presentations around specific technologies or questions our clients have providing demonstrations as necessary and in general providing excellent service and expert knowledge across multiple Microsoft products.

Required Skills
  • 7+ years of success in consulting complex, technical projects within the Microsoft cloud ecosystem, including design and planning, implementation and deployment, and support. Key Microsoft solutions include:
  • Microsoft Entra ID
  • Microsoft Entra Connect
  • Microsoft Entra single sign-on
  • Microsoft Entra multifactor authentication
  • Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365
  • Microsoft Active Directory
  • Microsoft Purview
  • Microsoft Defender Suite of Products
  • Microsoft Windows Server & Desktop Operating Systems
  • Microsoft Intune
  • Microsoft PowerShell scripting with Microsoft Graph
  • Microsoft Conditional Access
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Advanced experience and knowledge of IT operations within hybrid environments, including networking, virtualization, identity, security, business continuity, disaster recovery, data platforms, and governance.
  • Experience with the Microsoft offerings for key infrastructure and security capabilities such as the following are a MUST. Experience with 3rd party offerings is a plus.
  • Cloud access security broker (CASB)
  • Secure Access Service Edge (SASE)
  • Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA)
  • Security Orchestration Automation & Response (SOAR)
  • Experience implementing or administering solutions covering identity and access, platform protection, security operations, data security, application security, and hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructures.
  • Expert skills and experience designing security solutions that include Microsoft security technologies.
  • Fundamental understanding of hybrid identity, authentication, federation, and single sign on technologies.
  • Knowledge of enterprise device management solutions such as Jamf, Intune, Configuration Manager, or other 3rd party solutions (e.g., Jamf).
  • Experience with non-Microsoft cloud solutions including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and other SaaS services.
  • Experience integrating non-Microsoft cloud solutions with Microsoft solutions for identity, security, management, etc.
  • Experience integrating non-Microsoft SaaS solutions with Office 365, Entra ID, Defender or other Microsoft cloud solutions.
  • Knowledge of server and/or desktop operating systems and virtualization platforms to support implementations.
  • Project management skills, for status reporting, communications, and scheduling. · Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to self-manage, as you may be responsible for meeting internal and/or customer deadlines and delivery expectations.
  • Open to travel - position may require up to 20% travel.

Required Education
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably, but not required in a technical area of study, such as Computer Science, Information Technology, etc.
